Home  |  Back             How to Use Edblog         Web Hosted by NapaNet

The purpose of EDblog is to provide opportunities for learning how to use technology, information and media resources at your own pace and at your own convenience. We can't have an in-service every time a new resource becomes available.

What's more, the resource environment on the Internet is ever-changing and evolving. The same is equally true of software applications and media. EDblog is dedicated to bringing focus to the tech landscape in ways that save educators that most precious of commodities, time.

So, come here as often as you like. Contribute as much as you can. Harvest as much as you have time for. Keep a list and come shopping for  more goodies. Alert us if you don't find something you think should be available. Let us know if you have something we don't.

As for what we do have, you'll find our current thoughts and discoveries in the continually updated entries flowing down the center of the home page. Look to the links on the right to find the different areas of resources for teaching and learning. Use the site search function to locate relevant material. Review the archives to find an entry that fills your needs. Scan the EDblog for comments that might help. No doubt some of the most current ideas will come from the comments. If you have a good idea for a link, I'll try to implement it quickly.

Don't forget: The cool thing about blogging is that we can link together to share resources. Anyone out there who has their own site should let me know if they have links or material of value so I can pass them on in our posts, as well as add them to the EDblog resources.

Lastly, contribute your ideas for our structure and resource scheme. My philosophy of the Web is clean and lean with rock-solid content, but I'm ready to go with any good idea. After all, it's a rare day when I have an actual original thought.

Looking forward to meeting you,

Calvin Ross
